Kinkfest prompts Hey hey, why not have some content? My
kinkfest prompts and why I chose them
Sept 1:
Dragon Quest VIII, Angelo/Alistair: watching out for little sister - "I wish we'd met under better circumstances. While we were both alive, for example."Angelo's one of those characters I don't really care either way about, but I thought would be very fun to write for. I was right. He's totally ridiculous and messed up and I love it. It gave me a chance to have a very over-the-top writing style, which I really indulged, and play around with perceptions. Angelo's not really in love with Alistair as much as he's in love with the idea of this guy who's a genuinely nice, talented, caring older brother.
THe story:
A Game of GhostsWhich is, on the surface, a beautiful love story about a strange young man who falls in love with a ghost
Beneath that, it's about how utterly messed up and secretly obsessive Angelo really is
Beneath that, I got to make a couple jokes about JEssica's boobs. Score.
Sept 9:
Final Fantasy XII, Larsa/Penelo/Vaan: court intrigue - raspberry wine.I love this particular trio, although the story I ended up writing is actually Vaan/Larsa/Penelo, I don't think that makes much of a difference. This one ended up with a serious case of
plot, so it's only partially written and is currently on hold so my other stories will be done on time. Not to give anything away, but there are Clever Disguises and a possible assassination attempt. Also, cameos from a bunch of other Final Fantasy games since I couldn't come up with enough original names for various people of the court.
Sept 21:
Final Fantasy XII, Venat/Vayne: possession - "the time for subtlety has long since past"Chosen solely because I wanted to write Venat, and yet noone nominated any Cid/Venat. It also gave me a chance to indulge my love for Final Fantasy Tactics.
The story:
Inherit the StoneWHich is both Venat/Vayne and Venat/Cid, with maybe some Vayne/Cid. The three are wrapped up so tightly in each other, it's hard to describe their relationships.
Sept 25:
Dragon Quest VIII, Marcello/Eight: using one person against another - "He knows little about the young man, save that Angelo values him. That is quite enough."Chosen because I think Marcello/Eight is a really interesting pairing. Marcello is so angry and self-serving in a very idealistic way, and it's fun facing him against a simpler kind of idealist. Eight is such a total blank, which is actually what I'm using as the basis for his characterization. (It's not a flaw, it's a
feature) Both of them are using each other, but only one of them realizes it. This has also come down with a serious case of
plot, but I'm doing my best to write around the plot, with only passing mention of the events that shape the story. It's an interesting way to write things, but it's also kind of fun.
